Karen Biondo of La Biondo Farm and Kitchen on Vashon Island, Washington shows off a portable goat shelter, and a portable goat milking parlour. I think the goat milking parlour is the most interesting. And apparently, it was made for practially nothing. Lots of glass - all free. The goat milking parlour has a nice goat milking stanchion inside.
Really like the idea of the milking stanchion with the "gates" on the side that can be opened......that has possibilities. I haven't tried peanut butter but I do know my girls really like peanuts in the shell. I made the mistake of taking a small bag of peanuts into the goat pen to give them some treats and was pretty much mobbed! ~ Pearl Bigelow~
personally i dont really like that...at all...
but different things work for different people. if that works for her then thats great.
my goats walk alot farther then that and i dont bribe them with peanut butter or anything. they just go to the stand cause they know there's food there. and they walk back out and next one comes in when i open the door.
Ours just get a small amount of feed during milking to keep them still, no need to get them into the corral at night, they always are waiting at the gate.
