"A 2d animation explaining the method of shifting cultivation practiced by the Bataks of Palawan. Special thanks go to the Coalition against Land Grabbing (CALG) - Philippines and to the the Batak Federation (Bayaan it Batak kat Palawan – BBKP) for enthusiastically proposing and supporting this project. A particular acknowledgment goes to Dario Novellino for providing the video shootings, photographic material, text and other inputs on which the animation is based. Sincere appreciation goes to Eric Luong and Helene Deborde from 32 Art Studio, as well as to Sophie Grig (Survival International), for their comments and valuable advice. At last, a special thanks goes to Alejandro De Mesa for the voice over."

Enjoy

To admins of permies: I wasn't sure if this post belonged in forest garden | woodland | ancestral skills | dvds, movies, videos and documentaries | or social justice. Maybe it can be tagged in them or moved if you feel it's necessary. Thanks.

Well done video! And as someone who believes the government and big money mess up everything they touch, I sympathize.
I'll pass this around :)
