My daughter is 1.5 year old and has recently developed what appears to be premature thelarche of one breast. She hasn't been to the doctor yet, but the appointment is scheduled for Friday. Her favorite snack is freeze dried organic sugar peas. Some days it makes up over 50% of her diet (not including breast
milk, which she drinks a large, unquantifiable amount of, nursing frequently in the night and 3-10 times during the day). She also teethed on a bit of plastic as a baby. Other than that, she eats organic and pesticide-free foods, loves to munch on kale outside, eats no
dairy other than breastmilk and some sheep cheese. No soy, or processed sugars/starches, either.
Could the peas be causing the thelarche? Are there safe herbs that could influence her endocrine system and stop the thelarche?
Thank you so much! I'm worried that the the thelarche could progress into precocious puberty. I'm already planning on packing up all of her and her brother's plastics toys (they were gifts from others) in hopes of reducing the phytoestrogens that are coming from plastics.
