Hiya, looking for any like minded individuals in my area. My friends would appreciate it too. You see they cannot tolerate one more discussion on compost, waterwheels, solar food dehydrators and the like....... Their eyes glaze over and i'm pretty sure they are losing consciousness.  So if anyone near here finds themselves in the same position I would love to meet up and reassure myself that there are real live people like me.

Thanks for reading and best of luck!

Hi Donia,

I'm in Maryland. I'm not too close, but closer than a lot of others on the forum. Pennsylvania is a major farming area from what I have heard about some parts so it's senseless to me that your network is unmoved by aspects of permaculture.

Well I guess there are two problems, first I live in a city. Very few of my friends can even be convinced to start a garden. And if I go a bit further out there are a fair amount of farmers..... Multi-generation, "we've always done it this way", no time for your nonsense i've got a hundred acres to turn over farmers. So often its just me trying to grow stuff naturally and sensibly on my 1/16th of a acre yard and feeling very lonely.

Hey there. This might be a little late but I just thought to search PA on here to see who is around my area. I'm near Altoona In central PA and I agree the locals around here are not super open to new ideas. Anyone sympathetic is more then welcome to contact me. I would love to set up something with all the people in the area.

Matthew.
