I found this plant next to a mesquite and a desert willow so lets call it a desert plant.
Sorry I didn't take a picture of the seeds.
Any help appreciated.

Based on those 'fruit' pod and leaves it is in the legume family.

Perhaps an Acacia?  I'm not familiar with the desert species but I'm sure someone more local will ID it more clearly for you.
