Hi All ;
Thought I would share a simple cheap trick for pet hair removal.
We have many persian cats in our home, most in full coat...   Imagine the mess ... we love our cats but they do make it hard to have clean clothes and clean furniture.
We have tried all the different products avalable for this problem.
They all worked to a certain extent.  Sticky rollers , special dry sponges, one way brushes & i'm sure there were others .

What works best for us is a simple kitchen sponge with a scrubby on one side. Slightly damp use the scrubby side and it grabs ALL the hair fast!
Works as good or better than all the fancy expencive products.
Its cheap, fast  and its something most already have on hand.

I will try that! I struggle to get the dog hair off clothing, especially dark clothing. It comes out of the washing machine with the hair on it.

Another trick that works well is to use a rubber glove to get stubborn embedded dog hair off the car upholstery. Just rub a kitchen glove over the hair as you vacuum it and most of it comes right up.

Most of the time a damp washcloth works fine to get the hair that lands on everything compliments of my german shepherd.  I cant imagine how bad it would be if she was allowed on the furniture! This time of year, I tend to embrace the hair as extra winter warmth and less work too😀

I can now sympathize with this now that we have a cat.

I hung my house coat out on the line so the wind could blow the cat hair away.

I joked to dear hubby that my house coat was a fur coat.

I’ve had close to a lifetime dealing with hair — cats, Siberian Huskies,  Shiba Inu, shedding horses. So my rules became….

… only buy tweed or appropriately patterned coats, carpets, furniture, etc.
… all clothing has be of fabric easily whisked off, or easily washable. Absolutely nothing which the hairs can weave themselves into the fabric.
… washer and dryer have to have good hair removing abilities and excellent lint filters that are easily accessible and cleaned.
… tile, wood, or sheet goods flooring when possible. Avoid carpet.
… own a good vacuum cleaner.
… don’t invite non-hairy-animal-owning friends over for dinner.

The plus sides I discovered…..
… family generally avoided visiting.
… never had to host holiday meals or parties.
… I didn’t had to deal with being invited out to posh places and parties.
… never accumulated snubby, posh, judgmental friends.

I am going down to the lab. Do NOT let anyone in. Not even this tiny ad:
