This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the
PEP curriculum. Completing this BB is part of getting the wood badge in
round wood woodworking.
This BB is for crafting a door latch using greenwood techniques.
These can be simple or complex, but they should be nice. It is entirely possible to create a combination lock style latch in fact. It can be fixed to the door using screws, but the latch itself should be entirely constructed from wood without metal or glue. Please remember, even if it is a simple latch, it should be of high quality and visually appealing.

To get certified for this BB provide photos or video (less than 2 minutes) showing the following:
- Your chunks of wood that you are starting with
- Progress about halfway through, with the hand tools you have decided to use for this
- List any power tools you used (Otis would love it if you only used hand tools)
- The final product
