This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEP curriculum. Completing this BB is part of getting the straw badge in Plumbing.
In this Badge Bit, you will install a sump pump along with permanent exit piping. Water sitting on the basement floor is annoying, let's put in a sump pump!
This BB doesn't cover making the hole in the slab or putting in the sump pit so you don't have to do that work. If you do, submit that in Homesteading Oddball or Oddball to get some points.

To complete this BB, the minimum requirements are:
- install a sump pump (electric or city water powered)
- with a check valve
- permanent exit piping to an approved final destination
To show you've completed this Badge Bit, provide proof of the following as pics or video (less than two minutes):
- the location where the sump pump will go
- the piping installation midway through
- finished installation
