Meet Saphira. We've worked together for a decade, and her left shoulder has bothered her off and on all that time. Mostly, I've treated it as muscle and tendon issues, and that usually works. Lately, it's been worse. Certain movements aggravate it, even holding still for too long, like during sleep. A dull ache seeps in when it's worst. I suspect deeper, joint problems this time.

I recommended several avenues for herbal/holistic healing.

A. Certain stretches for the pectoral muscles and tendons. They are Joe Hippenseal Method stretches. Twice a day, two minutes, twice each time.
B. External use essential oils of frankincense, deep blue, lemongrass, white fir, oregano and marjoram. Not all at once, but in combinations until she finds which work best for her shoulder.
C. Chiropractor visit, in case there is a subluxation of the shoulder joint.
D. Internal use of turmeric, 1 tsp, three times a day. Bosweillia and black pepper can/should be added.
E. Possibly an anti-inflammatory diet, if the chiropractor she visits diagnoses arthritis or bursitis.

Two weeks later, the turmeric, oils and stretches I recommended are starting to help.
She reports using the turmeric about twice a day most days, and stretching once, using the oils when she hurts. She has a long way to go to meet the range of motion I recommended, but she is improving. I Sleeping better at night and hasn't ached in a few days. She hasn't seen a Chiropractor yet, and feels that if her left shoulder continues to improve, or even maintains this level of healing, she won't need a Chiropractor. Yay!
