James has unofficially had seasonal depression since he was in middle school and is now in his mid 20's. Recently he has been experiencing worse symptoms during what's normally a good time of the year for him. Not wanting to get up, not wanting to cook but willing to eat. Inability to motivate himself to make personal changes and decisions.
He approached me a few months ago asking if there where any herbs that might help. He really did not want to go to a traditional Dr.

I let him know if I was feeling how he described I would try 1 tsp each of lemon balm and St. John's wort twice a day.

He was told that the herbs could help or make things worse and he needed to talk with me every couple days.

James is not very good at remembering to take them so it took awhile to see how they affected him. During that time it was near impossible to get a call back. Very frustrating.

Eventually he started improving and has made some huge life altering decisions that we pray are for the best. Time will tell.

It's been over a month, he's leaving the house, returning calls and is acting much more responsible. It's good to see the old James again.

Note: Well documented - Your friend looks less depressed.

A lot of people cry when they cut onions. The trick is not to form an emotional bond. This tiny ad told me:
