The Movies
Solar Food Dehydrator Movie (1hr21min)

In this movie, you can follow along with creators and makers as they discuss the merits of design elements, and then go on to the build the Wheaton ATC1 dehydrator. This movie compliments the plans for building this and the Missoula model solar food dehydrator. With this video you'll get great insight into how to proceed when building your own.



Free Heat Movie (2hr18min)
This video explores the world of rocket mass heaters, and features the build of an advanced Rocket Assist solar dehydrator. Rocket Mass Heaters are possibly the most powerful solution to many of the problems confronting individuals and the global population today.  For individuals, Rocket Mass Heaters can save thousands of dollars and bring greater comfort. Some call it "carbon neutral," others "carbon negative." Heat your home with yard waste and cardboard while reducing global problems - we call it free heat!

Viewers will get a front row seat for a variety of builds:
-A solar food dehydrator with a rocket assist for when the sun goes down.
-A standard, 8 inch, pebble style j-tube rocket mass heater.  This is a basic, yet incredibly high performing system.
-A 6 inch cob style j-tube rocket mass heater in a tiny house.
-Lorena style rocket cooktop - heats a flame-embedded pot super fast, then heats the cook surface.

The download links for the PDFs is now working.  But even though I paid for the video, it seems to be only an online option which is totally not workable for those of us who live offgrid with limited internet access.

Can you try the download again?   Might have been during a server update.

If it's still causing issues, can you tell me more about the error.   What kind of gadget and browser are you using?

I did some digging and it looks like you downloaded the files!  So, all good?

My guess is that we have the free heat movie available as "tiny download" (SD) and "jumbo download" (HD) for a few dollars more (probably $5 and $10, but I would have to look into that).  If you are willing to part with the coin, i can try to set up the upgrade thing-a-ma-bob.

Pretty sure that we don't have the other movie available for download. That would take a lot more work to make available.

I think there are some things that are on gumroad, but not in a bundle like this.  

The software we use here, allows us to make deals with several different sellers, so when there is a sale, each seller gets a bit.  But gumroad does not offer that.

My guess is that the free heat movie, and the solar food dehydrator with rocket assist are available on gumroad, but I have not confirmed.  Shall I check?

Hi, I am interested in purchasing plans to the Wheaton atc1 solar food dehydrator. I looked but could not find anything on what temperature the drying area gets to? I know it will depend on the time of year and location but even data on what the one on whaton labs is getting to would be very helpful. Does anyone’s know? Thanks!

I don't think we have ever tried to measure it.
