This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEM curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the straw badge in Dimensional Lumber Woodworking.

As you start to collect old tools (and use them), you'll find ones that need new wooden parts.  Let's replace a spinning/rotating wood part on a tool like a brace and bit!

Here's one way to do it:

Minimum requirements:
  - Make a new wood handle for a tool
  - The handle needs to spin or rotate on a hole down its center
       - Like the lower handle on a brace and bit
       - Or a handle for a water bucket (that lets is swivel in your hand)
       - Not a situation where wood is attached to something else that does the rotating

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 min):
  - The wood you're going to use for this project
  - Midway through the project
  - Completed handle installed on the tool

this tiny ad is trying to guide you away from the dark side!
