This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEM curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the wood badge in Dimensional Lumber Woodworking.

We're really moving along in our carpentry skills, let's try an expert project.  Are you ready?  Let's build a Windsor chair!

Here's a gentleman showing us one way to do it:

Minimum requirements:
  - Make a Windsor chair
  - Solid seat contoured to a backside
  - Back spindles and leg spindles go into mortises in the seat
  - Can be a rocking chair
  - Arm rests are optional
  - Needs to look like it was built by a craftsperson
  - Homemade natural finish

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 min):
  - The lumber you're going to use for this project
  - Midway through the construction process
  - Applying the natural finish
  - Completed chair with someone sitting on it

I agree. Here's the link: http://stoves2.com
