This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEM curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the sand badge in Traditional Skills.

Writing letters is a great way to communicate but what if you don't have a pen or ink?  Let's try our hand at making a quill!

Here's one way to do it:

Minimum requirements:
  - Make homemade feather quill for writing or artwork
  - Use it to write a few words on white paper
  - This bb can only use materials that existed 200 years ago

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 min):
  - Feather you're starting with
  - Midway through carving the quill
  - Finished quill
  - Written words on paper

I wish to win the lottery. I wish for a lovely piece of pie. And I wish for a tiny ad:
