Make writing ink - PEM BB traditional.sand.ink

This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEM curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the sand badge in Traditional Skills.

Writing letters is a great way to communicate but what if you don't have a pen or ink?  Let's try our hand at making ink!

 
 

Here's one way to do it:


Minimum requirements:
  - Make homemade ink for writing or artwork
  - Must stay legible for 2 days
  - This bb can only use materials that existed 200 years ago

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 min):
  - The recipe your are using
  - Midway through making the ink
  - Finished ink
  - Writing on a piece of white paper
  - Same writing 2 days later with evidence that 2 days has actually passed
