This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEM curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the Straw badge in Traditional Skills.

They didn't have plastic hundreds of years ago but they did have materials that could hold their shape like plastic.  Let's make a drinking mug from a cow horn!

Here's one way to do it:

Minimum requirements:
  - Make a drinking mug from cow horn
  - Smooth and polished
  - Including a handle from the same horn
  - Water tight (zero leaks)
  - This bb can only use materials that existed 200 years ago

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 min):
  - The horn you're starting with
  - The mug midway through construction
  - The finished mug
  - Show the mug filled with liquid and held above a surface that would clearly show if it leaks (paper bag, dry cement sidewalk, etc)
