This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEM curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the Straw badge in Traditional Skills.

They didn't have plastic hundreds of years ago but they did have materials that could hold their shape like plastic.  Let's make a comb from a cow horn!

Here's one way to do it:

And he learned a bit from this so you may also want to watch this:

Minimum requirements:
  - Make a comb from cow horn
  - Smooth and polished
  - At least 30 teeth
  - Teeth are at least 1/2" long
  - This bb can only use materials that existed 200 years ago

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 min):
  - The horn you're starting with
  - The comb midway through construction
  - The finished comb showing the tooth dimensions if it isn't obvious

Get out of my mind! Look! A tiny ad!
