Make a canoe paddle - PEM BB traditional.straw.paddle

This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEM curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the Straw badge in Traditional Skills.

Have you ever found yourself up a creek without a paddle?  Let's fix that!  

 
 

Here's one way to do it:


Minimum requirements:
  - Make a canoe paddle
  - Nicely shaped and smooth
  - Protected with a natural finish
  - Something nice enough to sell for at least $20
  - This bb can only use materials that existed 200 years ago

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 min):
  - The wood you're starting with
  - The tools you're using
  - Midway through building the paddle
  - Applying your natural finish
  - Finished canoe paddle
