This thread is all about Salt Spring Seeds

This is our 31st year of promoting a safe, sustainable and local agriculture. It is very gratifying to now see so many individuals and communities embracing this concept! We hope that some of the vegetables, beans, grains and herbs in this catalogue will help you to become more self-reliant in food and medicine.

All our seeds are organically grown, untreated, open-pollinated and non-GMO. We grow all our own seeds and sell only our most recent harvest. We fill orders year-round and usually within a day or two of receiving your requests.

Shipping:

Dear U.S Customers, Because of new Customs regulations, we regret we can no longer send seeds to the United States.  We do ship seeds everywhere else around the globe.

I give this seed source 10 out of 10 acorns

I'm a huge fan of Salt Spring Seeds.  Every seed I've gotten from them grew like it loved me.  This is probably because Dan grows all the seeds he sells, either on his property or on other farms on Salt Spring Island.  Truly locally adapted seeds are a gift to the garden.

Dan Jason is also huge into educating gardeners how to save their own seeds.  All his varieties are OP or Landrace and he encourages you to just buy once and save the seeds for future years.

Shipping is fast, usually in the post within hours of placing my order.  The seeds arrive in pristine shape and germination is averages 100%.

I give this seed source 10 out of 10 acorns because it's like the coolest seed company ever.  I buy their grains and grew them.  They grew so well, it's fantastic!  Easy to harvest too.  I'm going to buy Dan's new book about grain this year and maybe some chickpeas.

This year Im growing Agrimony which they sell.
