I want to plant my Kiwi next to my chicken composting yard, and train it up the trellis that covers the yard.
To keep the roots from staying wet and protect it from the dog, I plan on putting it in a little raised bed.
Right now I'm leaning towards a bottomless container, just so I don't need to build anything( I love building things, but I have plenty to do already) .
I'm worried that it will dry out too easily and crowd the roots.
I might opt for a bigger square sided bed with openings for air pruning.
Family at a nearby lake with an L shaped house with porch on the inside of the L . Planted a fuzzy kiwi in the corner of the L to train along the edge of the porch roof. After a few years it covered the whole house.
