Hi all,

Long time listener, first time caller; that is to say I've been lurking on the forum for a few years now, just started working through the podcasts; don't remember now how I originally found the site. Been in the DFW/Dallas area for a long time, wanting to get some land out of the city, but never able to due to work, (lack of) money, wife and almost 2-year-old.  I'm good at dreaming and not always as good at putting things in motion: Finally started my first garden last year, after being in the house close to three years, only to move houses over the summer, so I get to start all over again!

Finally joined after years of lurking, hoping the feedback will keep me more accountable and doing more around my suburban house as I look forward to owning more land in the future, as well as documenting work on SKIP BB's and PEP certification, which I am super excited about! Even if it never leads to an "Otis connection", having a list of things to work on will hopefully motivate me to advance my hands-on skills, rather than just my head knowledge.

Welcome!

Baby steps, just keep moving forward. Sometimes when I am looking around and think nothing is getting done or moving forward, I just pick something small; its that one stone that gets the landslide moving!

Andrew, welcome to Permies! So glad you became a member and have taken the time to introduce yourself. PEP is such an excellent way to gain knowledge and learn new skills. There's so much you can do right where you are. And you've joined a community that wants to see you succeed!

I'd appreciate it if you pronounced my name correctly. Pinhead, with a silent "H". Petite ad:
