It might in Arkansas and Missouri. I can tell you it doesn't grow everywhere in Texas.
The nice thing about Echinacea purpurea is that the seeds can be planted anytime so folks don't have to wait until October like with most wildflowers. If you take a few flowers now and just put them where you might like to have them they might just come up when Mother nature thinks it is a good time.
Remember that it might not be as potent medicinally if it is not Echinacea purpurea, or Echinacea angustifolia. The good news is that most Echinacea still possesses medicinal use and antiviral properties.
