Do New Post Ever Disappear without a Message as to why?

I posted something earlier today in community > personal challenges, two people responded, then about an hour later it was gone.

What did I do?

99% of the time, if a post doesn't meet publishing standards, it vanishes.  

No message.  

Staff are discouraged from engaging in long conversations about why and wherefore and, but I didn't, and you stink for not...

Staff here are volunteers and if there's any doubt, the post vanishes.  The staff would much rather spend time in the garden than moderating, but we do it because we care about permies.  

If it's the post I'm thinking of, these will help:

publishing standards
be nice
leaving room for other people's ideas
but but but but
hate in the name of love
fact - a four letter word
censorship
free speech
deleting stuff
probation posts


And especially the cider press
