Who is going??

Planning on it... two to four in my party

I'll be there.

I'll be giving FOUR presentations:
replacing irrigation with permaculture
making the big bucks with permaculture
animals in the landscape
one Sepp Holzer movie with Q&A

I'm also supposed to give a "plenary" - I think it means something like a keynote where there will be more than one keynote speaker.

This is sizing up to be a meaty technical conference. Even meatier and more technical than last year.

Presenters include several people that you know from my podcasts and videos: Helen Atthowe, Mark vander Meer, Owen Hablutzel, Michael "skeeter" Pilarski, Ernie and Erica Wisner, Kelly Ware.

And a few people I should get into my podcasts and videos: David Ronniger (the seed and potato guy); Kristen Lee-Charlson (responsible for the Missoula Winter Market, Edible Missoula, the food buying club, and my local Weston A. Price Foundation connection).

Am I missing something? I would very much like to register, but this information isn't of much good to me if there isn't a schedule showing what workshops are going to be available when. I am planning to come down on Saturday but that's the only day I can make it. I don't want to register until I know if the workshop(s) I want to take are going to be offered on Saturday...

I will be going. Two in my party. Looking forward to soaking it all in.

I'll be there with Paul! And my son, Forrest, might join us, too. I'm driving out the weekend prior, so I'm hoping to find a ride out for my son in Friday, 11/9, if anyone is trekking from the Seattle area.

I don't see the schedule yet, either. In my experience, permie conference-type events are put on largely by volunteers, which keeps the prices very low. The flip side of this is that if you want certain things, like a schedule quite a bit beforehand, the best solution is to dive in and help! Or help next year to make it even better.

Edit: replaced "convergence" with conference - my mistake in terms for this event.

Just wondering if anyone else has had trouble signing up for the work trade. A month and a half ago I signed up with the online application but never heard anything. So I wrote INPG and they said that upon a quick scan of applications that mine hadn't been received, that was two weeks later. So I submitted again, this time making sure that I received the confirmation at the end of the submission process confirming that my application was created and sent. It was, but still two weeks after I hadn't heard anything again. So next I wrote an email containing all of the information asked for in the application and sent it to the same correspondent from INPG that I had been in contact with previously, but to no avail as of yet, another two weeks later. I volunteered to help set up and tear down, as well as hang posters, and hand out handbills and brochures. I work in probably the busiest taco y burrito shop in Missoula, four locations, and I have plenty of time to put in volunteer and trade hours. I know I would be a good asset to the event and want to help. But I haven't heard anything...

mike, I have forwarded your stuff to a bunch of big-wigs with the event. If you don't hear anything more within 24 hours, please say so here and I'll start making phone calls.

Looking for a ride from the Seattle area to Missoula/the conference, Friday, Nov. 9 for my son, Forrest. Anybody trekking out from there with an extra seat for a quiet young man?

Sorry you're having trouble. I'm the website guy. I see that you successfully submitted a worktrade application on 08-26-2012 and on 09-09-2012. I'm not sure why someone could not find it before. I think Skeeter is handling the worktrade applications and he is at the Tonasket Barter Faire right now, but I have emailed him with the direct links to your applications and he should be back in the saddle very soon and will respond.
