I'd love to hear peoples thoughts on the BCSR soil testing system. From my research, it seems this method is a bit controversial as far as it actually being viable goes. I'd love to hear what people on here think. If you have an resources, books, articles, first hand experience please include!

I haven't any experience on soil testing myself. Have you had a look at Bryant RedHawk's thread here?
In summary, he suggests that conventional soil tests can be misleading because they test 'dirt' not living soil and don't take into account the full nutrient cycle that the living organisms create. Better to concentrate on creating the environment that the organisms will thrive in (plenty of organic matter, well aerated, compost teas and fungi slurry...).
