Does this ice box look useable

I want a tiny ice box for my tiny house. Came across this on FB Marketplace.
Doesn't look in perfect shape. Any feedback on whether this could work as is or if it could be fixed up? Is it worth $100?

I am not sure what to look for in an ice box as I have never shopped for one

That looks to be an original oak ice box.  Probably worth the price as a beautiful antique.
Probably not going to do the job very well.  It is small and I suspect under-insulated.

I suggest you can build your own using 4" foam insulation, it is much better than whatever is used in the antique as insulation.
It could be any size your space fits. It could be covered with a plywood/USB if your trying to keep costs low.
Or you could pick a wood you like and box it in yourself! Create your own beautiful future antique that really works!

Back years ago before consoles were installed in the front seats of some vehicles we made something like that to use as an ice chest.

It worked for holding cold beers and soft drinks with crushed ice.

Are those styrofoam pads that have been attached?

If that suits your purpose then that might work.

Or you can build your own like we did which with lumber prices might be a lot more, today.

We use a rotomolded cooler as our "fridge".  It's waaaaay way better than your typical plastic with foam inside cooler. I can't see that ice box performing even as well as a cheapo cooler. You can get a small rotomolded cooler for the same or a bit more as they're asking for the ice box.
