Hello Everyone,
I'm so excited to have found a community like this! In the next couple of years I will be purchasing land to start a homestead but instead of have a typical home built or already there, I want to build a cob home and other cob structures. Does anyone in the area happen to know anyone giving workshops on cob building?
Welcome to Permies Alexis. We look forward to seeing and hearing about your journey and cheering you on.
Monica has set up this wiki. She is a great person and mentor. I recommend that you start here as an introduction. https://permies.com/wiki/226599/ Again welcome Alexis
Failure is a sign of activity and learning. It had nothing to do with under achievement
I never want to have a team member who has never failed - They are not doing!! 👍

Also have you looked into strawbale homes, they can be combined with cob.
Thank you! No, I haven't, I've really just looked into cob. However, I do know that they do consist of straw with the other ingredients. I'll do some research on them as well!
I did a build workshop with them this past summer, they are excellent, and have been doing it for many years. I plan to build using one of their plans and have a workshop build with them.

I miss the old days when I would think up a sinister scheme for world domination and you would show a little emotional support. So just look at this tiny ad:
