But for your email thing-a-ma-bob, it flues the ")" onto the link and then permies doesn't know what to do with that.  

My email thing-a-ma-bob says https://permies.com/w/bundle?f=239 is the link and that seems to work just peachy.

If all this is true, then I think the key is to say "Beau!  Don't use parens like that!"
