Found a few of these guys on some berry bushes. At first I thought they were minute pirate bugs, but they don't seem to match Orius insidiosus, though they could be a different species in the same group. Anybody have any ideas?

The top/near one looks like some sort of bug (and I only know that from Helen's Garden master course!) Looks like the other may be a sort of soldier beetle?
Bugs can be goodies or baddies. Are you seeing leaf damage? Bugs have piercing mouthparts, so make tiny holes to suck out sap, or eg aphid juice, depending on their dietary preferences.

They look like sharpshooters. A type of sap sucking insect. I have some here and there usually near the tender new growth.

Zone 6, 45 inches precipitation, hard clay soil

Update: I believe I have identified them as Tarnished Plant Bugs (Lygus lineolaris), a pest.
