I am delighted to see this proposal here on permies. Mankind has lost many great varieties of cereals due to modern farming practices, and not
enough people growing these rare seeds to keep the genetic diversity sound.
Hopefully, you will find others with these same seeds, and the recovery process can begin.
I know that the Painted Mountain corn
project has been going for 30 years, and that is once again a viable corn that can be grown in cold, high elevation, and short season regions.
We need more projects like this around the globe if we want to maintain food security.
