A lot of events all over the world have stopped in the last few years. Maybe people are just getting knowledge overload.
I am glad that we did a PTJ ticket blitz a couple of years ago. We sold tickets for $540 with the idea that that the value of the ticket is more like $2500 (so I would end up shelling out $25k for the event to be able to happen). And we had ample people *say* that they would buy a ticket, but in the end, we didn't sell enough. And lots of people were very frustrated by this - because they wanted the event to exist anyway! So then I thought I could subsidize events after a kickstarter does well. But the kickstarters haven't done well either.
I like how we did the RMH blitz a few weeks ago. The price of the tickets were something like $700. The event was five days, and it would be followed by a bonus week of half-assed rockety stuff. But the event would start small and grow as more people bought tickets. So we would not be in the red from the start. Nice. But we didn't sell enough tickets.
I know that people love to attend a great event that is worth $4000 per ticket, but they paid only $400 per ticket. And it isn't so bad if we can gather a whole bunch of video to make a movie that gets us a pile of coin from a kickstarter.
We are shifting.
I think we are now leaning into the bootcamp and the sepper program. So kinda like a year-round constant event.
Seppers have some small influence over bootcamp projects, so they can pop into the bootcamp when the projects sound fun. And once in a while we will pay for a ringer to come in.
Therefore, there is no 2026 schedule.
Maybe if we have a strong kickstarter or two we can get back into this.
