Are there others on here who are disabled? or do you know someone who is? or retired, on a fixed income, able to do some kinds of work but sitting in the office at the computer and handling social interactions and chemicals didn't work out?

Seems like a great opportunity here.

I'll post more later, but want to see what people have to say starting off with a wide-open question. Thanks!

There are so many possibilities that could be added into designs to help and care for its users. Many of my aunts, uncles, and grandparents are retired. I think permaculture could definitely be used to enrich their lives.

Martin Giannini made a nice series about widening permaculture:


Geoff Lawton wrote an article about a few considerations that can make permaculture work for the disabled, and on permies there was another discussion similar to this one.
