Where do permies get reliable news?

I live rurally and I am making less frequent trips to "town". It occurred to me the other day that a SHTF scenario could happen and I wouldn't even know about it! I don't have t.v., but I am dubious of news media as a reliable source of information anyway. Where do you permies get your news for what is happening in the world? Thanks!

I like British Broadcasting Channel, Canadian broadcasting Channel, National Broadcasting Channel, and Deutsche Welle. I prefer them because it gives me some different views on global events, but I could probably use to diversify my news sources some more. I notice a distinct lack of countries in the Southern Hemisphere and farther East for where I get my news.

Kuan Yin : Living in extreme Northern New York I can use the Canadian Broadcasting Company which re-broadcasts BBC, and I have Nat. Public Radio !

No Tv by choice, however all of these are available over the internet, and do keep track of what is happening with the ''Outernet'' which is scheduled to
come online as the worlds biggest library, where it will go from there is any ones guess, but worth keeping an eye on ! Big AL
