who wants a sound byte of paul wheaton saying something obnoxious?

Soo.. as many of you know, Paul's Rocket Mass Heater DVD Kickstarter just started!

So we have been brainstorming HARD about how to make our rewards better for the kickstarter. Someone mentioned something about paul recording something obnoxious for people's ringtones or something! So we wanted to hear what you guys thought about it!

So we are going to do our trusty poor man's poll.

Click the thumbs up for which one you agree with.

I would pay a dollar to get a sound byte for my ringtone that is something obnoxious paul is saying.

You can go ahead and make that. I am going to keep that crap off my phone.

A Paul ringtone saying, "if you like this sort of thing, come on and answer your phone. Or head on over to permies.com"

According to some Paul always says obnoxious things so you probably already have TONS to choose from!

Serriously though it wouldn't necessarily need to be obnoxious. The standard podcast closing catch phrase is cool.

If you have any folks that can create Android and/or iOS "apps", a "soundboard" might be a lot of fun. Just a thought.

A ring tone, hmm.... perhaps, as one suggested, a recording of Paul saying one of his fav statements. You really want to get some attention, have Paul commit to recording his voice for a ring tone using the person's name. For example...."Hey, Richard, your phone is ringing...this is Paul, you might want to answer it...it could be me calling, helloooo, answer your darn phone already...ring, ring...hello, still need to answer it." Something along those lines. Just an idea. I would pay a dollar for that. Just an idea.

That would also be a nice way to get low level support from a ton of Permies not otherwise participating in the kickstarter. Great idea Steve!
