71 yr. old retired carpenter.  Looking for a homestead lady, 50 - 70.  Veggie type, organic, spiritual, liberal, earthy, kind, loyal, I have all these traits also.  My homestead has orchards and a garden, greenhouse, 40 fruit and nut trees.  My home is timber frame, owner built, very efficient and paid for.  End of the road, quiet and serene, overlooking waterfalls.  I'm offering 25% of the value of my homestead in my will, should we both decide to commit.  If interested please call me at 828 669 4243.  Michaeljon Drouin.

Hello.....  I just came across this site in searching for small scale homesteading in Maine.  I would imagine that you have been blessed to find someone with whom to share your earthly abode by now.  My interest is to inquire of location/areas where land may be on a cheaper scale.  I'm not sure if I noticed your location ( was thinking it was a Maine website)...forgive me if I am mistaken.  It sounds like you have a place of peace and solitude; as I am hoping to go off grid (somewhat) although much later than life allowed. I may be considered over the hill in years; having # 76 birthday around the corner; regardless I have been given the name: 3D Mom...from daughters ...(different, devoted & determined)  I am a Christian woman of deep faith in Almighty God.  I am country woman from the mountains of Wild & Wonderful West Virginia.  I have always believed that if we want something bad enough....it is better late than never.  Just wanted to wish you life blessings as we journey homeward.     Thank you.

Louella, that community is in NC, not Maine....had to check as I'm in Maine and like seeing which permie communities are nearby.  Hope you've found the place you're looking for!

You didn't tell me he was so big. Unlike this tiny ad:
the permaculture bootcamp in winter (plus half-assed holidays)
