In the site logo, the carrot farmer (who I can only assume is Paul) is wearing a winter hat and holding fresh carrots! I have to ask, Paul, have you developed a winter carrot, or is it really that cold in Missoula in the summer? I remember frolicking with a girl in the Lolo one summer day, and as I recall it was rather warm ( or maybe just the girl was warm, it was a long time ago).
They're probably late, autumnal carrots. He's not wearing a coat, after all. But then, maybe he's using the hat to *hide* his ears. I do that sometimes...
That drawing was made about 15 years ago. I had no idea what I would use it for, but I found a guy that could draw stuff the way I liked. About five years I scanned in the image, cleaned it up and colored it.
About six months ago a guy sent me an updated image of the guy with a cowboy hat and a goatee. Really well done! But not as goofy. That guy then helped me make images for the flea control article, the lawn care article and some of my other richsoil stuff.
