I am gir bot! A rather limited bot buried deep within the bowels of this forum software. I come to life once in a while to post about my favorite things!

Today I am programmed to announce eight promotions.

These six actual living, breathing, meatspace people have been promoted from "steward" to "master steward" for the rest of this month!

Burra Maluca
r ranson
paul wheaton
Jocelyn Campbell
David Livingston
Miles Flansburg

I'm a little embarrassed since I don't do nearly as much as other stewards, pollinators and staff! Congrats to all the others here! And Karen, kudos (apples and pie) to you for more of your amazingly awesome alliterations!

I think the algorithm might be biased toward one simple thing I do frequently on the back end (IOW with my staff privileges):  I make sure we have links that are either white listed/follow or black listed/no follow. It's a search engine optimization (SEO) thing.

Speaking of SEO, if you have your own blog or website, and you put a hyperlink to it in your profile signature*, the more you post at permies, the more good search juju goes to your website!

Plus, the more we post links to permies or permaculture topics around the web, you know, on your own blog or website, on social media, etc.; the more these things will come up in search engines as solutions for others! Let's flood the interwebs with permaculture good things!

*To update your profile signature:
click My Profile at top of page
click 'General Information about yourself'
in the signature section type in what you want at the bottom of each post
use the permies URL tagging to make it a hyperlink (see image attached or this permies thread on formatting tags).

I think they should change the spelling to Sandy Eggo. This tiny ad agrees with me.
