I was wondering if there was a website or a book that you would recommend which teaches primitive skills and crafts. I have this one book on bushcraft which got me really interested in the subject
Also, no better way than to find teachers who practice these skills. Head out to prim-skill gatherings if you can. There are a number of large and small gatherings around the country, not sure where you're coming from...
some of the people (well a lot actually) on paleoplanet forums are AMAZING. specially some of the bow makers. even still the whole site is FULL of good info on primitive skills.

ron hood's "woodmaster series" is pretty awesome. a little low budget in production but he really does a good job with actually teaching you how to do a variety of primitive skills.

There are dozens of them. I have found most to be pretty good. I studies First People lore as a youngster which kept me "hanging out" in the woods a lot "pretending" I was a native and it was a time before the Europeans arrived. It was a lot of fun and quite a learning experience.

I got back Sunday from 4 days of camping in Idaho,there was a group of us there,and Ron Hood and his wife and and son were going to be there and Ron was going to teach some classes,the first day of this was Thursday,well Ron Hood died in his sleep some time Wednesday night.Ron was a real good guy,he will be missed
