I'm a semi-retired(mostly just tired) cabinet maker from Texas. A few years back I got into building log furniture. Just wanted to show off some of my pieces.
Brian. Whats your general location. Would you be interested in making a top bar behive in the fashion of your chest? I have the bars. I also have a chunk of oak that i think is big enough.
Holy cow Brian that is some beautiful work! I can’t believe this thread has been around for a year and I’ve just found it (thanks Nicole!) and that it has barely any comments. I play around doing stuff like this as a hobby, but yours puts most of what I’ve done to shame. Plus I don’t have access to beautiful cedar like that...
I’d love to make the log beer cooler as a gift for a good friend, but would have to hollow it out by a different method (a lot of time with my handheld grinder with a King Arthur wheel). What is the rig with the chainsaw? A type of mill, or mortising set up for timber framing? Did you build that or buy it?
Wow, I wish you lived in Australia, I'd love the BBQ/cooker and the wood in the chest of drawers is amazing, what beautiful craftsmanship.
