As a kid I used to make all kinds of snow sculptures....I mean, after you build your first snowman it's time to move on, right?  I didn't build this one, but had to share it after seeing the gingerbread thread.  I particularly love the use of the plunger!  Can anyone tell what they used for the top "eye"?

I think if I saw one of these in front of someone's house I'd instantly want to be that person's friend...weird, huh?

Top "eye" is a turkey baster.

There is a Nat'l Park just down the hill from us. The Park (mostly) follows the Cuyahoga River. Beside the river is the old Ohio-Erie Canal towpath. Hundreds+ walk or bike that path everyday. Beautiful place.
We like to go there after fresh snows and build random snow sculptures. Just whatever comes to mind. It's creative. The kids love it. For us its a part of homeschooling. But perhaps the most fun of it is to watch folks come by and take pictures.
-I've often wondered why more people don't do random acts of art and fun.

Ding, ding, ding....thank you Jim!  That has to be it.  So a plunger, a large whisk, a turkey baster and some snow (and some fun time) is all that separates us from having one of these babies out front!

Also, totally with you on the random snow art, makes peoples day a bit magical.  Someone near me makes a snow loch ness monster on a nearby lake every so often.  I need to stop and get a picture next time she pops up!

We got our favorite seed catalog today, and me and my kids (2 and 5 years old) sat down with colored pens circling things we wanted. My circles were purple, my daughter got pink and my son red. I then went and put all the seeds in the online cart. It was $234 ! And that's not counting shipping! I think I'm going to have to pare that number down some!
