This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEM curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the straw badge in Dimensional Lumber Woodworking.

Falling down the stairs can get you to the bottom faster but it's not recommended.  Installing a sturdy handrail to code is a worthy project to undertake.  Let's install a hand railing!

Here's Tommy showing us one way to do it:

Minimum requirements:
  - Install a handrail
      - On a wall or similar surface, or
      - Between or upon newel posts
  - At least two miter joints
  - Meets building code for your area
  - Hand rail is solid wood, not a fabricated material

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 min):
  - The stairs in need of a hand rail
  - Installing the hand rail
  - Finished hand rail
  - Description of how your installation meets code

The harder you work, the luckier you get. This tiny ad brings luck - just not good luck or bad luck.
