This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEM curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the Straw badge in Traditional Skills.

As we travel through the world we often want to carry stuff with us.  When your hands aren't enough, it's time to build something to help.  Let's make a basket from tree bark!

Here's one way to do it:

Minimum requirements:
  - Make a basket from large pieces of bark
  - Stitch it with spruce roots or similar root cordage
  - At least 8 inches wide and 6 inches tall
  - This bb can only use materials that existed 200 years ago

Provide proof of the following as pictures or video (<2 min):
  - The bark you're starting with
  - The basket under construction
  - The finished basket showing its size meets the requirements

Note: Nice basket Daphne! You need to post three pictures (bark, underway and finished showing it's 8" wide). Could you add those pics or try again?  Thanks!

Cool beans!  Also keep in mind the minimum size requirement.
