This is a badge bit (BB) that is part of the PEP curriculum.  Completing this BB is part of getting the straw badge in Homesteading.

For this BB, you will repointing 200 sqft of rubble foundation!

Here is a short related video:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFsJR9S23jw

To document your completion of the BB, provide the photos or video (<2 min) of the following:
 - the supplies you're starting with
 - the rubble foundation that needs repointing
 - part way through repointing the rubble foundation
 - the repointed 200 sq ft of rubble foundation

Howdy! Looks like the video in the main post for this wiki is private, linking a few others I found when looking up "what the heck is repointing a foundation?"

I like this one because it's short

This one goes into a little more detail on finishing

Here are two restoration projects that I got to point the foundation this year. To point these foundations I used two parts sand to one part type S mortar. With the first project, I photo document my process to get an aged/weathered looking product.
The first project was 36 sq feet of repointing a foundation.
The second project was repointing the interior of a barn. All interior foundations and walls. A lot but I only documented 250 sq feet of repointing a foundation I did alone.  I normally have a crew helping.
