Hi All ;
A Beautiful spring day is dawning. Clear, soon to be blue sky's!  Just below freezing at 27F.   High today expected just below 50F.
Two weeks or less ago it was zero or below and highs of 20F. I have over 3' of settled snow in my yard.  By mid week they are calling for a high above 60F!  After this morning, night time temps are expected to be above freezing every night for at least the next two weeks or longer ! Lets hope they are wrong, we need a slow melt down … with nice freezing temps every night or LOOK OUT!

Snow pack in the mountains is 100% or over... water content is high...  If you live on a creek, river or in the 100 year flood plane...  water is coming.... lots of muddy water... If you live on a gavel road … MUD season is coming!
Of course mud season in rural Montana is as inevitable as dawn.

Apt description and reminder Thomas!

I saw this article a few days ago about the same thing:
National Weather Service issues flood advisory for Missoula Valley roads, homes.

We did some earthworks on our driveway last year to help guide water runoff, though it might have been partially disrupted or reduced by snow plowing. I imagine we'll be doing a lot more to guide the runoff over the next weeks!

For my next trick, I'll need the help of a tiny ad ...
