Seattle is planning a seven-acre public food forest, on utilities land, in the heart of Beacon Hill, a multiethnic, multicultural residential neighborhood that includes African Americans, Latinos, and Asian Americans of all nationalities. All I can say is I'm so excited about this project that I could bust! I know this neighborhood well, having owned rental property there 25 or so years ago. We should all be keeping our eyes on this one. Certainly I consider myself invested in its success.
