Sad loss.....I didn't know he wrote children's books!  A man of many talents e.g. also a director (of several Python films), historian, presenter and - of course - a writer (largely with Michael Palin).

Many will remember him for the classic 'he's NOT the Messiah - he's a very naughty boy!' which was based on his own mother!  🤪

Thanks for posting, didn’t realize he had passed. Always loved MP from the very first episode I saw as a wee one.
