Going to leave the big city and attempt an off-grid lifestyle near Holbrook, AZ. Have the basics in place, and have received a ton of positive support from some of the locals. I love the region, have spent a great deal of time there, but it's not without challenges.
Water must be hauled, dirt roads, so lots of wear and tear.
I'm a 36 year old single guy, or warshed -up seemstress as it were, but very able-bodied, mechanically-inclined, with a long history of property maintenance.
Really looking for someone who can hold their own and possibly be a team-mate in terms of survival. Either a Marine or a cave-dwelling hermit.
Or both.
May be a long shot, but it's a beautiful high-desert environment @ 6000 ft.. near reservation land. Perfect place to build an earthship or something.
Would love to get in contact with other like-minded individuals!

I'm interested. I'll come right out and say I don't match that description at all. except perhaps being cave dwelling. Hell, I'd probably scurry into some hole rather then bother you all day. no offense of course.

why are you looking for those traits? If I can't deliver the skill set you need I let you know up front. nothing worse the embarking on a journey with someone disingenuous.

I was a bit tongue in cheek with that post, in terms of traits I was looking for. I usually have no idea what I'm looking for TBH. But I really am serious about wanting/needing help. I'm currently making the drive from Denver to Concho, AZ to look at this land. It's only an acre, but maybe it could become something.
Camped at 10,000 ft last night in "Ocate" NM. Tried to finish the trip today, but the beating NM sun had a way of wearing me out in transit, so I tried to use better judgement and am staying the night in Grant's tonight.
Hopefully will get to see it tomorrow (if I can find it, lol)
Anyway my email is NKemmis1@gmail.com. phone is 303 335 7180, at least for now.
Would love to hear more about you and your interests!
Regards, Nick

Hi Nick.  I sent you a text to the number you had in your post, but not sure if it still belongs to you.

Just wondering how it turned out.  It sounds like you aren't too far from us.  We have 40 acres northeast of Show Low, 12 miles off the highway at the "Y."

Anyway, just looking for inspiration and motivation.  The winter is cold and brutal to all the equipment.

Take care!

What do you have in that there bucket? It wouldn't be a tiny ad by any chance ...
