Dumb pole growing question

My runner bean plant has just surpassed the height of the pole it's on. How should I deal with the excess?

umm..move the pot to a location next to a taller structure?

I think pinching them off would make more beans and less foliage.
Otherwise I would tie twine from the top of the pole to another tall location.

To add to William's post, how tall are the poles?  If they are on the shorter side, you can add to them ....just keep the tops within reaching distance.   If the are already at the max you can reach, see William's comments.
