Wild bees use heat against a hornet

This video was a little overly dramatic, but I thought it was neat how it was a wild swarm, and the part near the end was pretty fascinating how the bees protected the hive.

That’s really interesting Steve, thanks for sharing it!  Bees are so fascinating. But for an allergy, I would love to try my hand with honey bees.

Insects are so interesting!

We've got a pair of wasps in our backyard that look similar to the one in the video. Ours are Cicada Killers, and have dug little burrows under our brick storage area.
