Hey everybody,

I'm a Linux and BSD systems administrator and ski instructor from Mont Tremblant in Québec. I currently live in Montreal (which is zone 6) but still have access to my parents property (zone 4, borderline 3). I discovered urban gardening shortly before the whole confinement started and have had plenty of time to read about permaculture since. I'm deeply interested in all discussions about plant breeding (the lofthouse promiscuous tomatoe thread was enlightening) and am about to embark on a 2 week permaculture design certificate with a local organisation called P3Permaculture. I'm considering market gardening and seed saving as a possible future path for me and will be exploring what that means over the fall and winter.

I cant wait to share with you all.

Welcome, Patrick. I'm a ski tech and I've spent a few days at Tremblant... well almost 20 years ago! Good terrain.
I look forward to seeing what you get up to. More cold climate permies, yay!
